The Medical Information Specialist will be responsible for communication of medical/safety information to external customers, primarily healthcare professionals and patients. Specific responsibilities include:
:Provide labeled and unlabeled medical/safety information on contracted products in response to unsolicited requests for information verbally and/or in writing.
:Evaluate and interpret medical/safety information from various sources (e.g. literature, internal clinical data, postmarketing surveillance data).
:Conduct searches of published medical literature, review and accurately summarize the literature into standard response letters.
:Assist with other special writing projects as needed.
:Assist the Medical Communications Coordinator in providing full and compliant do entation per SOPs.
:Work directly with pharmaceutical company clients on specific projects.
:Provide after:hours beeper coverage on a rotated basis
