Rogers is seeking an Information Security Advisor for our Risk Management group that supports business and information technology functions through security consulting services across the enterprise. Reporting to Senior Manager of Risk Management at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, this position provides security risk assessments, supports various business and information technology initiatives, and collaborates with stakeholders to reduce risk across Rogers. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong ability to understand and articulate business and IT risks, strong leadership and project management skills, and provide thought leadership of industry best practices.
:Proactively engages with assigned Business Units and functions across the organization to collaboratively support business plans while ensuring secure solutions are developed.
:Performs enterprise:level and project:specific risk assessments
:Effectively communicates information security risk to a diverse audience from technical staff to senior executives
:Drive pre:assessment planning and kickoff agenda items and associated activities as it aligns to the Information Security Roadmap
:Business risk ysis (at times ad:hoc) to support risk reduction and remediation of current and future solutions and projects
:Provide confident consultation throughout the engagement process : from kickoff to post:engagement
:Work with internal Information Security teams to maintain and development Information Security policies and standards; perform divisional gap yses and work with business units and technical teams to implement security policies and processes throughout the organization.
:Constantly builds understanding of information security trends and practices in domain area of expertise.
:Engages stakeholders to set expectations regarding process and customer:focused outcomes, navigating changes that arise and escalating issues appropriately
:Considers stakeholders interests relative to customer needs
:Uses judgment to involve other senior team members when navigating difficult stakeholder issues
:Escalate engagement and customer related issues where appropriate
:Bachelor degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
:5 : 10 years information security experience or a combination of information technology work experience and information security experience.
:Governance and Risk Management experience is preferred.
:Professional certification (or current enrollment in program) for information security : CISSP, CISA, CISM or similar credentials.
:Skilled in methodologies such as: ISO/IEC 27000, 9001:2000, ISF IRAM2.
:Proven ability to build relationships, engage and influence others, work with diverse internal and international user communities as well as vendors
:Achievement oriented with proven management skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines
:Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
