You will join an energetic and growing team that is focused on providing exceptional value to its clients. As a member of the teams management group, you will take a lead role in providing US tax compliance and consulting services. This role offers flexibility to work remotely within Ontario. Your superior organizational skills will enable you to direct the work of enthusiastic junior staff, including developing their skills and reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness. You will perform research on a wide variety of issues faced by Canadian and US companies carrying on business in the US, will play a key role in developing tax:planning strategies, and take the lead on the review of US federal and state tax returns for a group of assigned clients. The ideal candidate will enjoy an invigorating work environment; have exemplary project management skills; and will set the standard for junior staff by providing ongoing support and regular feedback, while actively seeking out opportunities to contribute to their professional development.
Role and Responsibilities
:Assume responsibility for and manage the recurring tax needs of an assigned client base, including federal and state tax compliance, tax provisions and ongoing tax advisory mandates.
:Take a lead role with respect to training and supporting other members of the US Corporate Tax group.
:Working closely with a Partner as a senior team member on tax planning and advisory work for clients.
:Planning and organizing teams for the preparation of tax returns and performing and presenting tax research.
:Reviewing the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness.
:Help lead the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients.
:Work with other office members in attracting new work and clients to the firm. 13;

:Ability to work with minimal supervision.
:Highly motivated individual with a desire for growth.
:Strong research skills and significant experience with writing technical memos.
:Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand the clients businesses and ability to establish and maintain strong client relations.

:Ability to lead small and medium:sized client engagements and interact effectively with clients.
:Effectively manages conflicting demands and priorities.
:Gives others the opportunity to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
:Able to instill enthusiasm in others to achieve desired results.
:Able to provide persuasive and self:assured responses to challenging questions.
:Minimum 5 years specializing in US Tax in industry or a public accounting firm.
:US CPA designation required.
