You will be part of the Product Development Engineering, Aerospace team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry:into:service. Currently, these new products are the all:new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high:performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.
As part of the Ecodesign team within Product Development and Engineering, the candidate will be responsible to develop and implement environmental Life Cycle ysis (LCA) and ecodesign initiatives within the organization.
In your role, you will:
: Develop and implement environmental Life Cycle ysis (LCA) methodologies that support our product development process on current and future aircraft programs;
: Ensure that these methodologies are fully understood, adopted and applied by all aircraft programs;
: Provide guidance and training to product development teams and aircraft programs in regard to LCA methodologies ;
: Collect internal and suppliers' data for environmental Life Cycle ysis (LCA) on current, legacy and future aircraft programs;
: Support the development and update of Product Category Rules (PCR) for commercial and business aircraft;
: Develop Environmental Product Declarations (EPD's) for aircraft programs based on PCR and LCA data;
: Develop and implement environmental ysis based on ISO 14064 and ISO 14067 standards as well as LCA process for research and development projects;
: Support collection of information on substances of concern as required by various environmental regulations and align with different disciplines;
: Support any other ecodesign initiatives.
As our ideal candidate,
: You hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering or equivalent
: You hold a Master's degree in Environment and Life Cycle Assessment (a strong asset)
: You have a practical knowledge of the design and manufacturing of aircraft
: You have a practical knowledge of ISO standards (14025, 14040, 14064, 14067 and 14001)
: You are able to train and provide guidance to engineers and suppliers, as needed
: Good spoken and written communication skills in both official languages are necessary
: Good knowledge of MS Office is necessary
