The Optical Manager II drives profitable sales growth, increases customer count and manages effective store operations for stores with sales between 650k : 1.29k per year. Develops a positive and productive retail:selling environment that ensures premier customer service, customer retention, as well as outstanding associate/doctor satisfaction and retention.
MAJOR DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
:Drives profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture through the duration of the sales process as measured through store Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
:Increases customer count through proactively performing and overseeing customer driving behaviors inclusive of conducing in store Public Announcements (PA), making patient and customer recalls and other in:Host customer awareness activities.
:Develops professional business relationships with Doctors to maximize business performance.
:Responsible for effective merchandising and presentation according to Brand and Company standards.
:Ensures a high level of quality service through accurate measurements, correct pricing and by setting realistic expectations on timelines.
:Ensures timely implementation of approved Marketing programs by the execution of marketing and pricing promotions and initiatives, Company standards for signage, and creation of Host awareness.
:Accurately operates the POS system and accounts for all transactions.
:Opens and/or closes the store according to store guidelines.
:Ensures positive and productive host relationships through Host participation, support and satisfaction.
:Recruits, trains, develops, motivates and retains high performing store Associates.
:Recruits for subleased Doctors as needed.
:Fills ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fits and adapts lenses and frames, utilizing optical prescription.
:Dispenses quality product.
:Ensures visual acuity.
: yzes and interprets prescriptions and lens design.
:Measures pupillary distances (distance and near), bifocal, trifocal, and progressive placement.
:Selects and measures frames for contour: eye size, bridge size, temple length.
:Fits and adjusts eyewear to the face and eyes.
:Dispenses contact lenses.
BASIC (REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS
:Bachelor's degree OR 4+ years related work experience
:State Optician License
:5+ years' experience as an Optical Associate
:Basic computer skills
:Independent and self:motivated
:Strong verbal and written communication
:American Board of Optician Certification, as required by state law
:Experience managing and coaching associates
