With 17 practioners in Edmonton, Deloitte has the largest internal audit and risk advisory practice in Edmonton. Our local Risk Advisory team is growing and we are looking for candidates who have an interest in business process improvement, enterprise risk management, operational and internal audits, internal controls, and information technology audit / advisory.
As a Sr. Consultant you will:
:Identify and evaluate business risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement by assisting or leading client projects
:Understand clients business environment and risk management approaches
:Build strong relationships with clients and posses a strong understanding of leading practices and prevalent methodologies
:Employ a structured approach to project management focused on client satisfaction and project profitability
:Supervise junior staff and assist with project management of client engagements
:Contribute to projects and our local team by generating innovative ideas and challenging the status quo
:Develop your expertise and your reputation as a business advisor
:Contribute to practice growth and development
:Participate in the development and delivery of training programs 13;

:Professional designation as a CIA or Canada CPA (or equivalent)
:Aspiration to pursue further relevant certification of education, such as a CPA, CIA, PMP, CISA or CISSP.
:Experience performing internal or external audits, business process controls, risk management, or internal controls (i.e. SOX or Canadian equivalent)
:Experience executing IT Audit / Control / Advisory services would be considered an asset
:More than 3 years of relevant work experience with preference given to candidates with 2 years experience with a public accounting firm
:Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence and building client realtionships
:Attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills
:Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities
:Experienced with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, do entation, managing client expectations and team leadership
:Driven to continuously learn, flexible in approach, and willingness to learn.
:Travel within Canada and the US may be required 13;
