GGS is currently seeking a U.S. Business Immigration Attorney to join our growing team The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple, challenging U.S. business immigration accounts. This position offers excellent opportunities for career advancement to the right candidate.
As an Associate Attorney you will exhibit the following:
:Solid understanding of U.S. business immigration law and an effective ability this knowledge to client situations.
:Ability to counsel and respond to queries from human resources, managers and employees on all U.S. immigration:related matters. This would include nonimmigrant and immigrant status processing, do entation, visa options, risks, timelines, etc.
:Support clients in immigration program management and compliance
:Manage legal assistants and other client service team members
:Strong written advocacy skills in preparing applications and petitions for U.S. employment authorizations to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of Labor (DOL) for nonimmigrant and immigrant status
:Facilitating the legal movement of employees across borders for business travel.
:Ability to keep up to date with any changes to U.S. immigration law and procedure and advise other staff members along with clients on these changes.
External Posting Qualifications 13;
:Juris Doctor, along with admission to any U.S. State bar, licensed to practice U.S. law
:Minimum of 3 : 7 years of business immigration experience in a high:volume business immigration work environment
:Extensive experience with H:1B, L:1, TN, and E visas, PERM experience a plus
:Experience managing and directing the work of others
:Excellent managerial, organizational, ytical, problem:solving and verbal and written communication skills 13;
