The Audit project manager will be embedded within engagement teams to be accountable for introducing project management methodologies, enforcing deadlines, interacting with audit client as well as supporting the creation of an internal national network of project managers. The project manager network will report up through the Audit National Office and will be expected to support national Audit processes.
The network of audit project managers will be introduced in FY17 through a pilot of supporting some of the largest audits across Canada. The pilot will be critical to improve audit quality, operational excellence and engagement economics and will become the standard for engagement support across audit.
As an Audit Project Manager you will:
:Manage the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of an audit engagement
:Support the creation of a project management network, including the introduction of best practices and standardization across engagements
:Coordinate all parties to deliver a cohesive client experience, including specialists and component audit teams as required
:Manage engagement financial contribution and escalate issue to engagement leaders
:Manage independence process and identify potential issues
:Manage the integration of the Audit engagement processes with internal Audit support processes, e.g. Milestones, billing, EQCR, etc.
:Interact with clients, managing their expectations and deliverables
:Flag any risks and issues to engagement leaders
External Posting Qualifications 13;
:Minimum of e years of project management experience
:Strong accounting and audit knowledge, including experience actually working on external audits.
:Proven ability of delivering initiatives on time, on schedule with the required level of quality
:Experienced with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, do entation, managing client expectations, project profitability and team leadership
:Strong business a en with solid ytical skills and conceptual thinking
:Ability to build solid collaborative working relationships including with clients
:Superior verbal and written communication skills
:Demonstrated ability to draw key insights from data, and develop creative and fact:based recommendations
:Proven commitment to client service excellence
:Strong time management capabilities
:Advanced Proficiency in MS Office applications; specifically PowerPoint and Excel
:Willingness to travel
This role will especially suit someone with experience as an Audit manager within an Audit firm, or equivalent elsewhere.
