Rogers IT Retail Channel is currently seeking anEngagement Managerto act as a liaison between business stakeholders, external vendors, development teams and the store build operations team within the IT organization. The in bent will be a direct reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail and Supply Chain IT Engagement at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, this individual will be expected to thrive in matrix reporting environment with direct interaction with the Director of the IT retail Channel and act as the solution prime for major IT digital projects within the retail store channel footprint for both Fido and Rogers. Working closely with the Sr. Manager and Director the in bent will help define the IT funnel by eliciting business requirements and advising business partners on how best to leverage IT capabilities. Their close alignment to their business partners will aid in identifying opportunities to grow the business through an innovative and effective use of technology.
:Gathers and do ents internal and external business user and functional specification requirements using interviews, do ent ysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, and task and workflow ysis in highly complex environments.
:Proactively engage business partners to jointly develop and maintain technology roadmaps and communicate funding and approval status, implementation schedules and actions to mitigate constraints and issues.
:Works with the architecture team and business primes to ensure roadmap alignment.
:Liaise between delivery, Infrastructure, project management, subject matter experts, end users, executives and engagement management teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
:Lead proposed technology decisions during conceptual phases and represent business partner's requirements from project inception to delivery.
:Gather RFx requirements from business and technology teams and coordinate RFx procurement processes for portfolio technology solutions.
:Collaborate with BA/BSA to refine functional and non:functional requirements.
:Create proposed solution do entation that is aligned with SDLC, roadmap and budget.
:Review and approve (when empowered) project artifacts, verifying they meet all functional and non:functional requirements and are aligned with SDLC, roadmap and budget.
:Ensures projects align with the business and ITS strategies, contributing to the development of plans and processes in supported organizations and business unit level.
:Manage new ideas/initiatives funnel by collaborating with business partners and development teams, identifying opportunities to grow the business through an innovative and effective use of technology and by evaluating technologies via hands:on testing/demos in Retail Innovation Lab.
:Coordinate team efforts to resolve complex issues and conflicts and escalate to executive level wherever required.
:Identifies and highlights problem areas, gaps or conflicts derived from information gathered and proposes options for resolution.
:Refines requirements using critical evaluation techniques, focus groups, meetings, negotiation, systems knowledge and experience.
:Prepares do entation on expected benefits, use cases, current/proposed process, workflows, data flows, process re:engineering studies, functional specifications, risk integration, end:user adoption plans/ guides and organization structures.
