PURPOSE AND O ECTIVES
The VP, Services Sales is accountable to drive Professional Services and revenue, creating a
competitive business growth rate; deliver a healthy contribution margin to the business; drive
license sales; training and education lines of business; is responsible for customer's satisfaction
with Field Services. Develops and creates / mentors the Human Capital resources assigned to
the region. This role will report directly to the SVP and General Manager of the region.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Strategic : Set the direction to support the broad business objectives; take a long term view of
the business environment and establish the business model and direction to meet the evolving
challenges. Evaluate license sales opportunities to develop SAP Prime engagements. Lead the
region through change management processes.
Operational : Monitor the following critical business levers to determine effective execution of
strategy: Sales Pipeline; Backlog; Trend ysis; License sales pursuits and associated
services opportunity; Prime engagements sold. Review using dashboards, financial and CRM
reports; and headcount fill ratios. Align resources to deliver the best results for the organization.
Invest at the regional level in other parts of the business through the I/O process for building
additional value. Ensure an appropriate mix / balance of Professional Services and SSRS is
Financial : accountable for delivering financial results for the Region. Forecast and report
revenue, margin. Report on business execution to budget and forecast.
Leadership and Development : facilitates career paths and creates a dynamic environment for
Regional Consulting Sales leaders to grow; support a growing business by recruiting, acquiring
and developing talented employees; coach and challenge employees to deliver results
associated with business objectives.
Customer Satisfaction : Assure the customer received appropriate value for their investment.
Manage the escalation process effectively to mitigate risk, share learning's in order to for future
customer engagements. To mitigate future risk, proactively use learning's from prior escalations
to plan and react quickly to customer escalations and anticipates future escalations.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
BA/BS degree required / MBA Desired
Experience in Services Sales, Sales Leadership; knowledge of Software License business;
experience with P and L; ability to navigate large, matrixed, organizations. Solid business
background with experience in financial reports and measures. Prior work experience with Tier
1 System Integrators preferred. 10 plus years of experience.
