:Operation, maintenance, and provisioning of wireless network elements including Core Switching Platforms, Fiber Equipment, ATM DACS Nodes, Transport nodes and Voice Mail Platforms.
:Manage and Operate large facility infrastructure systems including HVAC systems, emergency power generators, DC battery plants, and AC and DC power systems.
:Adherence to Wireless Switch Facility Security Procedures
:Plan and implement work orders associated with LTE, UMTS, GSM, Data, Core Switching platforms, Voice Mail, Paging, and Transport Facilities on a live network.
:Track and complete trouble tickets, incident outage reports, and work order as:built.
:Conduct acceptance testing and integration of all Switch Platforms by overseeing and supervising contractor installation/implementation activities.
:Direct and coordinate field technicians, other switching locations, NOC, and 3rd party carriers during network outages and implementation activities.
:Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.
:Self:directed learning of new equipment to ensure that projects can be completed and new services can be maintained.

:Evaluate department operations and make recommendations to improve team performance
:Manage a diverse workload as well as manage contractor activities.
:Sound working knowledge of relevant telecommunications and Rogers Engineering and Operations Processes.

:5 to 7 years' experience in the telecommunications industry.
:Minimum 5 years' experience in wireless radio design/networks and 3:4 years in Ericsson Digital Switching.
:Technical Engineering Diploma or related degree with CET/AScT professional designation preferred.
:Cisco CCNA designation or the ability to obtain a CCNA designation is required
:Experience with Ericsson Core Networks, Comverse Voice Messaging, SS7 Signaling, Fujitsu Fiber Nodes, Alcatel MUXs, LTE, GSM, UMTS, GPRS and IP backbone Nodes.
:Knowledge of R.F, digital transport, fiber optics, and IP Networking required.
:Experience and working knowledge of both high power AC, and DC power equipment.
:Experience using Microsoft Office applications, IP and serial communications applications, UNIX, FIOL, and programming/scripting skills.
:Must be able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
:Must have strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to anticipate problems and opportunities, and develop effective strategies to overcome challenges.
:Must have excellent written/ communalization, team leadership, organizational and problem solving skills.
:Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks concurrently.
:Ability to project manage the implementation of network projects when assigned.
