The Structural Repair Stress Engineer is one of the specialists of the Customer Support structures team that provides engineering support to operators for structural repair yses on the CSeries.
In your role, you will be asked to:
: Actively support the CSeries In:Service Engineering team to ensure customer expectations are met.
: Work closely with design and stress counterparts for evaluation and validation of the developed repairs.
: Actively participate in the knowledge transfer from multiple engineering teams to In:Service Engineering.
: Liaise with your counterparts and the partners in order to ensure the harmonization between repair substantiation and basic aircraft certification data.
: Support the development and improvement of repair ysis methodologies and tools in order to meet customer expectations.
: Review static, fatigue and damage tolerance yses of in:service repairs and allowable damage limits to the metallic and composite areas of the CSeries aircraft supplied by partners.
: Support the publication of the Aircraft Structural Repair Publication (ASRP) and the Aircraft Maintenance Publication (AMP).
: Make findings of compliance on generic and specific repairs for metallic and composite structures.
: Liaise with TCCA counterparts for continuing airworthiness of the CSeries fleet
: Represent Bombardier CSeries Customer Support in internal and external committees and conferences.

: You are available for occasional travel on short notice.
: You are available for on:call support outside of working hours.
: You must be or illegible to be an Airframe Stress Full DAD (L) under Bombardier DAO.
: You must have already built a relationship with Transport Canada
: You must have a minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in aircraft structures ideally with experience in repair ysis.
: You must have extensive experience with ysis of composite structure, ideally with a focus on hybrid joints.
: You must have extensive experience with damage tolerance ysis.
: You must be experienced with certification of composite aircraft structures.
: You have detailed knowledge of airline operation, engineering and maintenance.
: You are proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
: You have knowledge of Bombardier Aerospace engineering, drawing and configuration control systems is an asset.
: You have an Engineering degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (Stress and /or Structures) or other relevant discipline is required.
