This is an entry:level/trainee position and will develop BASF' pertise within the Building Code and Standards community. As trainee, you will learn through a series of rotational assignments.

Formula for Success: You Will...
: Work closely with the Sr. Construction and Standards Regulations Code Specialists, the successful candidate will support the Building Code and Standard strategy to promote and protect BASF Canada's Performance Materials interests (all Construction products)
: Develop a strong knowledge of our Building Envelope products and various possible applications.
: In this position, the employee will gain understanding of the regulatory process needed to obtain approvals for new products / system at the government's level (Canadian Construction Material Center : CCMC and Underwriters Laboratory Canada : ULC)
: Attend (and work towards becoming an active member) on Building Code committees, ULC and ASTM to actively address and vote on issues related to manufacturing for the foam plastics sector.
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You...
: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (civil), Building Science, Architectural Science or construction:related discipline.
: 3+ years of experience in construction or building envelope industry.
: Demonstrated written and verbal communication in and English at a technical level. The candidate must be able to communicate construction methodologies to architects, engineers, building code officials, general contractors, and other related groups
: Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships and influence others.
: Knowledge of the spray foam market an asset.
