As a Field Engineer you will provide engineering field support to projects for testing, commissioning, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving customer concerns related to propulsion equipment. You will evaluate and confirm relevancy of issues toward warranty coverage and determine accountability for resolution. The Field Engineer will liaise with partners, suppliers, sister divisions and the Center of Competence (CoC)/Region engineers to assure resolution and compromise.
In your role you will:
: Enable, promulgate and accelerate BT's delivered products reliability growth and ensure best system availability, within budget and assure completion of warranty obligations;
: Lead and manage all field related type and qualification tests at the beginning of vehicle deliveries;
: Assist the Operation and Maintenance team in the resolution of defective practices that may lead to premature system failures;
: Assure prompt, effective and cost efficient containment to minimize impact of emerging issues;
: Prevent premature failures and achieve rapid reliability growth by positive action with Operations and Maintenance (O and M) and moving FRACAS observation to positive and proactive actions;
: Provide status updates and transparency on warranty activities and key issues, develop work around:
: Assert technical expertise in support of program management, field implementation, safety engineering, and product development;
: Develop issue containments, best practices and benchmark data;
: Assure compliance to standards and liaise with authorities, partners, suppliers, CoC.
As our ideal candidate:
: You hold a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline; a Master's Degree will be considered an asset;
: You possess at least e (5) years of experience in a field engineering role:
: You demonstrate the ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co:workers and cross:functional teams;
: You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;
: You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self:motivated;
: You possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline:oriented environment;
: You demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills.
