PeaceHealth is seeking a relief CRNA Provider based in the Ketchikan community.
Description: Relief Provider
Regional Anesthesia major and minor nerve blocks
Neuraxial anesthesia : epidural and intrathecal anesthesia
Obstetric anesthesia : epidural and intrathecal anesthesia
Radial artery cannulation
Pre:anesthesia evaluation and assessment
Post:operative and Short:stay evaluation and assessment
CRNAs do not do epidural steroid injections or PICC lines.
Must be comfortable practicing independently, with no backup, in a rural setting. To something more realistic like: in this position, you must be comfortable with working in a remote location with no available backup, therefore extensive prior experience in independent practice is paramount. While being proficient and self sufficient, you must promote a harmonious workplace with other providers while optimizing patient safety....
PeaceHealth provides travel and lodging to Ketchikan for relief providers.
The successful candidate, along with being proficient and self:sufficient, must promote a harmonious work environment and provide the highest quality of patient care and safety.
These are essential requirements.
Position requires a 20 minute response time for all emergency and OB cases; one CRNA available for after:hours, week:ends and holidays.
We require you to have and maintain current national certification by the AANA, as well as current nursing license in the state of Oregon.
Each CRNA is an active member of the Medical Staff at Ketchikan Medical Center and a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP).
Experience with an independent practice is preferred.
