Come join our East Coast operation that supports our Terra Nova offshore oil field located approximately 350 kilometres southeast of St. John's. Reporting to the team leader, environment, health and safety (EHS) process enablement, you will lead and conduct advanced business process auditing that will examine operational risk and drive long term management system improvements.
:Conduct internal audits, assessments, and reviews to determine the health and effectiveness of our management system
:Conduct second party audits of East Coast vendors and suppliers to ensure their processes and systems conform to our expectations regarding operational excellence, business risk management, and regulatory compliance
:Support corporate operational integrity audits
:Work with audit clients to assess the risk of audit findings and develop effective corrective action plans
:Support the implementation of core management processes (e.g., business process management, audits and assessment, corrective actions, etc.), including the review and revision of EHS procedures
Experience and Education:
:10 or more years of experience in the development and auditing of EHS programs and systems
:Experience in the offshore oil and gas industry is preferred
:Experience with management systems and the governance around environmental, health and safety management
:University degree or diploma in safety engineering, environmental science or a related field
Skills and Knowledge:
:Strong knowledge and understanding of applicable EHS regulations, standards, risks, and behaviour:based safety principles
:Proficient in creating audit do entation
:You continually seek greater knowledge about the systems, processes and hazards in the workplace in order to understand not just what you do but why you do it
:You collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
:You will be located in the Scotia Centre office located in downtown St. John's
:Typical working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, support to operations will be required outside of regular business hours and may include weekends
:You will be required to work periods of extra hours including work offshore, which requires transport by helicopter or supply vessel
:You will receive training required to work offshore
