Job Title: Network Specialist
Reporting to the Manager of Root Cause ysis, the successful candidate will be responsible for the research and ysis of network/corporate related outages and managing resulting root cause ysis meetings with related delegates. The network specialist will collaborate with all levels of organization, both internal and external, to Network Management. Based on special requests and assigned projects, the successful candidate will provide professional expertise through project management, research, root cause ysis, process improvement and presentation in accordance to industry standards.
:Facilitating root cause ysis collaboration and trend ysis of critical outages or re:occurring issues within Network Operations. Define criteria for organization and strategic reporting
:Interface with subject matter experts in Network Technology to review technical criteria, outage details and resulting corrective action plans
:Work effectively across departments to gather information and influence change
:Drive corrective actions across the organization including updating standards, processes, and procedures
:Perform ysis and recommend process improvement and solutions for new and existing products and organizational goals
:Provide required support to all levels of the organization
:Provide framework for the execution of new initiatives and opportunities for improvement
:Provide do entation detailing the cause of failures and corrective action taken; ensuring a reasonable course of action has been taken to prevent any further reoccurrence. Provide reports and/or presentations on findings and recommendations of the investigation
:Responsibilities may also include supporting the preparation and updates of network partner and supplier SLAs as well as facilitating the network Problem Management Process.
:Education experience should include a university degree in a related discipline.
:5+ years of work experience with a major cable or telecom service provider.
:Advanced knowledge of wireline and wireless systems and key technologies.
:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially: listening, conflict management and meeting facilitation
:Strong experience in technical writing and the ability to interface internally and externally at all levels including senior management
:Strong ytical and statistical skills are required
:Strong networking and negotiation skills are required
:Exposure to Problem Management methodologies is an asset
:Six Sigma Black belt preferred
:Highly adaptive and flexible to changing environments and priorities
:Well:developed process:focused team skills are required: influencing, facilitation, feedback, cooperation and conflict resolution
