Rogers is seeking an Engagement Manager, to act as the advisory and focal point of contact between Business primes and IT development teams that will leverage and participate in technology solutions to help the organization achieve their business objectives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Engagement at your choice of our downtown Toronto campus (OMP) or the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, this individual will be expected to act as the solution prime to a portfolio or assigned digital initiatives. Their close alignment to their business partners will aid in identifying opportunities to grow the business through an innovative and effective use of technology.
:Gathers and do ents internal and external business user and functional specification requirements using interviews, do ent ysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, and task and workflow ysis in highly complex environments.
:Refines requirements using critical evaluation techniques, meetings, negotiation, systems knowledge and experience.
:Communicates effectively with business systems ysts, project managers, application developers, subject matter experts, end users and Rogers executives to drive the solution process
:Organizes assumptions, suggests additions and deletions and probes for refined data.
:Acts as liaison between business and system areas. Lead proposed technology decisions during conceptual phases and represent business partners requirements from project inception to delivery.
:Identifies and highlights problem areas, gaps or conflicts derived from information gathered and proposes options for resolution, ensuring proposed system development or business process solutions.
:Oversees the technical design, development and implementation of multiple, complex, corporate:wide systems
:Ensures projects align with the business and ITS strategies, contributing to the development of plans and processes in supported organizations and business unit level.
:Understands and supports industry trends and contributes to the development of best practices for the clients business and for areas of domain expertise.
:Communicates effectively with meaningful and articulate verbal discussions.
:Creates clear and coherent written materials.
:Synthesizes information into succinct, concise and logical summaries and reports.
:Takes ownership for high quality internal, external, ITS and business unit stakeholder communications.
:Demonstrated experience with Program Management Business Process Management and Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
:Draws conclusions from information.
:Experience working with external Vendors
:Undergraduate degree required. Graduate degree, preferred.
:5+ years of Business ysis, Technology Solution Design, Engagement Management and/or IT consulting experience.
:Deep understanding of various Rogers lines of business (wireless, wireline, cable and etc.) and applications supporting them would be an asset
:Demonstrates experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
:Highly developed ytic, interpersonal and communication skills to influence and engage colleagues, along with a broad understanding of the businesses they support
:Must be creative, detail oriented and capable of balancing the big picture with meeting the day:to:day needs of the organization.
