A Senior Insights Consultant directs the insight and discovery process as part of Deloitte's innovation and digital delivery teams. The role involves close collaboration with business and technology colleagues to ensure that primary and secondary insights are driving concepts and ultimately client results. This individual interfaces with clients to represent experience in the research practice and on core project content at regular intervals throughout client engagements.
Day:to:day work will include directing research framing, planning, execution, ysis, and ideatino in a project context. Specific responsibilities include:
:Leading research framing discussions with clients to ensure we are asking the right questions
:Developing research plans at the beginning of projects that bring to life our approach to identifying insights
:Choosing and advocating for research methods to employ
:Leading research "in the field," to include ethnographic:style interviewing and observation, and other methods
:Leading the internal project team through research ysis, often under short deadlines, to arrive at compelling new concepts for our clients grounded in user research
:Developing research outputs and narratives in client appropriate formats (PPT, video, posters)
:Serving as the voice of users in front of senior client audiences at project milestone meetings
:When necessary, writing research screeners based on chosen target specifications
:When necessary, coordinating with third:party recruiters to set up research on a project:by:project basis
:Keeping a pulse on and communicating to the firm about new research methods or partners the firm should pursue
Candidate should meet the following qualifications
:A Master's degree in a relevant field (human factors, sociology, anthropology, design strategy, innovation, industrial / organizational psychology, human computer interaction) and 2:4 years' experience in the practical application of research methods to business contexts
:OR relevant experience (5 + years) at an innovation strategy consultancy or in a corporate user:centered innovation research role
:Demonstrated experience as a client:facing /executive adviser on research:related topics
:Demonstrated experience in innovation ysis and synthesis of inputs
:A passion for and working knowledge of the innovation process and the role that research
plays in the process
:Ability to travel regularly for the purposes of working at the client site or conducting research
:Management of others in the research practice
Bilingual : and English
:Demonstrated experience informing business strategy at large corporations
:Familiarity with quantitative research methods and how they complement qualitative work
:Teaching experience, either academically or within a corporate training setting
