The Supplier Management and Procurement Line Manager provides functional support and leadership to a team of Senior Logistics Agents working in a matrix / cell structure composed of Program Managers, Core Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Engineering representatives to ensure that the safety, quality, productivity, human development, and cost goals are achieved.
Line Manager will be responsible for Supplier Management activities such as Supplier Performance and escalations, Commercial claims, Product Change Management (PCR's), as well as, Operational performance of Buyers/Planners linked to supply base performance in regards to key process indicators such as on:time delivery, Shortage Management, Repair Purchase orders, RNC Handling, inventory planning, and Production line purchased parts coverage.
This position is located in Toronto and reports to the Supplier Management and Procurement Manager under the Supply Chain Organization.
In your role, you will:
: Supervise a team of Senior Logistics Agents responsible for planning, purchasing, deployment and reverse logistics of all parts on the Global 5000/6000 and Lear programs.
: Manage and administer the activities of unionized employees in a modern matrix Supply Chain environment for both Planning/Buying activities.
: Work with Core Supply Chain to leverage opportunities and harmonize commercial strategies for all Product Change Management Projects.
: Develop, implement and apply processes to build successful chargeback strategies for underperforming Suppliers, for operational disruptions, and overall claims management.
: Oversee the schedule of material to support Production.
: Lead the coordination and organization of Management level Supplier Program Reviews with the support of cross functional teams including Engineering, Supplier Quality, Procurement, Programs, and In:Service.
: Accountable for team adherence to processes implemented by the Toronto Supply Chain Team.
: Works independently, seeks guidance and support from Manager as required.
: Works with Management to provide input for performance reviews of team members
As our ideal candidate,
: You have a Diploma or University degree in business or related field.
: You have e (5) years plus of experience in Program/Project Management, Buying, and Planning.
: You have a PMAC or APICS certification is preferred.
: You are able to foster a sense of teamwork and excellence in the workplace.
: You are able to demonstrated leadership skills combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
: You have proven ability to influence and lead cross:functional teams.
: You have knowledge and understanding of legal terminology and the ability to interpret contracts.
: You have good planning of activities and understanding of the customer supplier relations.
: You are pro:active, results:oriented and strive for continued improvement
: You are a strong team player, recognized for leadership and innovation.
: You have knowledge of SAP and/or other MRP system would be considered an asset.
: You are Bilingual in English / is an asset
