You will be part of the Product Development Engineering, Aerospace team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry:into:service. Currently, these new products are the all:new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high:performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.
In your role, you will:
: Audit all engineering design work packages (electronically and manually generated) including drawings, do ents, and CATIA datasets ensuring that they are complete, accurate and adhere to all established standards and applicable procedures and practices that will support the goal of continuous quality prior to their release from the engineering department.
: Provide feedback and/or support to customers using the release process in a timely manner
: Perform queries, and provide status reports on various ETDS activities
: Follow and drive improvement in internal team process do ents
As our ideal candidate,
: You have some combination of the following:
: A diploma/degree from an accredited program in the field of engineering from a recognized community college.
: You have a combination of academic and directly related work experience equivalent to the bullet directly above.
: You have 5 to 10 years of experience in an aircraft engineering environment with emphasis on drafting standards including but not limited to ANSI Y14.5M:1982 and MIL:STD 100 requirements.
: You have CATIA/ENOVIA working knowledge.
: You have very good communication skills in English (Written and spoken : would be an asset).
: You are able to work well both in a team and independently
: You work in a very methodical and organized way
: You are flexible, adaptable, self:disciplined, and are willing to take initiative when working to a deadline
: You have a good knowledge of standard computing hardware and software applications (Microsoft Office suite).
