~*~ Some gentle-but-distinctive live music that evokes 'other times'?
~*~ A pro, well-mannered musician who can look the (historical) part as well as sound it?
~*~ A performer with a small sound system that needs no electricity?
As for my instrument, it's the unique & beautiful mountain dulcimer. Of golden wood with shimmering silvery strings, a bagpipe-like resonance and ancient musical scales, it easily evokes many different eras, moods & cultures (yet also can sound fresh and funky).
Wonderful for historical venues (I've done Black Creek Pioneer Village, Fort York, Bradley Museum etc.) - but also art galleries, small restaurants, afternoon teas, wine-and-cheeses, care-giving scenarios, etc.
* Great client refs. Toronto performances/events/venues only. (Have also done instrumental soundtrack music for a Fair Trade coffee-company do entary, and a Feng Shui video.) And I have a lovely Xmas/December-seasonal multicultural repertoire.
BTW, I'm also a longtime pro writer and promo/publicity expert - happy to discuss those services with you too.
